When Maria first walked through our doors, she was overwhelmed. Facing an unplanned pregnancy, limited income, and little family support, she felt like her world was collapsing.

“I was scared. I didn’t know what to do or who to talk to,” Maria recalled.

Through our counseling services, Maria found a safe space to voice her fears and begin imagining a different future. Our education team helped her access prenatal classes, learn newborn care, and prepare emotionally for motherhood.

She especially remembers a class where they practiced baby CPR:

“That day, I realized how much I wanted to protect this life growing inside me.”

Now, baby Lucia is six months old, and Maria is working part-time while planning to return to school. “I’m not just surviving anymore—I’m building something.”
